WELSH DOBERMANN CLUB BREED CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW 2004


held on Sunday 18th April 2004 at Markham Community Centre.
My sincere thanks to the Welsh Dobermann Club Committee for inviting me to
judge their Championship Show. It always gives me great pleasure to visit Wales
and in particular the Welsh Dobermann Club's Shows as I am always made to
feel welcome and the atmosphere created by those attending is, I believe, so
pleasant and enjoyable.


My CC winner was KHANEVE GOLD N CHILD TO AMAZON JW. I
understand that this is his 2nd CC .and at 16 mths I believe shows great
promise and I predict that he will be a full Champion before the Summer.
My Reserve CC winner was from the Undergraduate class IZRALIGHT
SHALL WE DANCE. At 13 mths already showing great promise.
Best Puppy Dog was my Minor Puppy dog unfortunately the only one in this
Class, EBRILL SHOWSTOPPER AT DARRAMARG. A very substantial dog
for his age who really does not want to grow anymore.

8mths old. A substantial male particularly for his age with a well developed
front,correct shoulder set and top line, correct rear angleation, tight feet

1.1st Haggarty & McIlroy' KRIEGER ENTERTAINER lOmths old black dog presented in very hard condition, an athletic specimen, level top line, good reach of neck, correct tuck up, well muscled first and
second thighs, catlike feet. Also won Novice Class and 2nd in Undergraduate.

2nd - Barlow and Ekin' FERRERO CHOCOLATE SOLDIER 9mths old brown, a good clean specimen of the Breed, immaculately well turned out, a good front developing with correct shoulder
placement with already a good spring of rib, correct rear angleation and tail set dark eyes well set in a young masculine head. Also 2nd in Novice


JUNIOR DOG Entries 10 Absent 2

.1st Keates & Jones' ARITAUR FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. This dog wasvery fit, presented with a nice square frame, super top line and tail set, excellent front assembly, good spring of rib fronting correct tuck up, tight feet above straight pasterns,
moved with drive

.2nd Nesbitts' FEOBARR COBRA .Black dog with very dark rust markings, a good frWIle but needs time to mature, covered the ground well, a young masculine head with nice dark eye and strong underjaw

.SPECIAL YEARLING Entries 4 Absent Nil

.1st Connolly and Todd'sCHANCEPIXIES LEGEND. Colour Black. A well balanced dog presented in hard condition, superb forechest, correct spring of rib and tuck up, well muscled thighs. A dog with a lively disposition and good ring presence

.2nd - Meredith's SWNYDWR HELLFIRE OF TARCHAN. Taller and longer in stature than 1. Good rear angleation, tight feet, covered the ground with ease

.1st Burke's IZRALIGHT SHALL WE DANCE. Breed standard dog, moved with drive and vigour, very pleasing outline, masculine head, nice dark eye, level planes, good reach of neck fronting a firm top line. Reserve CC winner.

GRADUATE Entries 4 Absent Nil

.1st Krafft'sSODUKSKY STEADY EDDIE. A Breed standard size dog, 23 mths old, will mature with age, moved~ light in stature but well muscled particularly 1st and 2nd thighs. Also 3rd in Special Yearling.

2nd Cranston's JOWENDYS JUMP THE GUN JW. This dog moved with drive and ease, was heavier built than 1 but was a little flighty, has substantial forechest, correct shoulder placement, good level top line to croup, good rear angulation, tight feet

POST GRADUATE Entries 11 Absent 2

.1st Tinsley'sSHERREBENCA GALLIANO JW. A Breed standard dog, black with dark rust markings, a well developed forechest fronting a deep brisket, correct tuck up, correct rear angleation, tight feet, straight pasterns, masculine head with dark eye, clean muzzle, covered the ground with vigour.

2nd Le Mare's HELMLAKE DANCING WOLF. Very well presented specimen in fit condition. I would have liked him to be a little heavier, moved with drive. Expertly handled. Pushed hard for 1st place.

.1st Smith & Marshall'sBE BEDAZZLED AT JANDAYA JW. This is a first class specimen of the Breed, a powerhouse of a dog, well muscled no fat or trim. Superb topline through to well placed shoulders carrying on to good reach of neck. Deep brisket with good spring of rib, this dog moved like a dream and was expertly handled. Pushed all the way in the challenge

.2nd Cox's JADENBURG APOLLO FROM ZELOVIAK JW. Another nice square welI muscled dog, super rear assembly, well muscled loin and first and second thighs, clean head, well set dark eyes, lively disposition.

OPEN DOGEntries 10 Absent Nil.1st Bland & Evans ' KHANEVE GOLD N CHILD TO AMAZON JW Definitely an eye catcher, superbly presented, brown gleaming coat reflected the outline of his muscle tone. Square in stature, wide deep forechest, well placed shoulders, correct foreleg construction, strong short back over well muscled thighs with good angleation. Tight feet, masculine head with correct stop and planes,dark almond eyes corrected placed. My CC Winner.

2nd McIlroy ~ Stracey'sCh KRIEGER STORM JW. Another well presented dog turned Qut in hard muscular condition. His power was reflected by his superb movement, definite masculine head, correct planes and stop, dark eyes which expressed his attitude and ring presence.

VETERANEntries 7 Absent 2

.1st Byrne's Ch AMAZON LICENSED TO THRILL. at 7.5 yrs of age he looks half of his years, very fit brown dog still in full coat colour, carries his level top line well with good tail set, good rear angleation, tuck up and spring of rib and can still move with determination

.2nd Caffel'sTRULINE TUMMEL. An 8 yrs old still in good general condition, a little long in the back but to the Breed standard height.
