WELSH DOBERMANN CLUB, APRIL 17TH 2006

CWMBRAN STADIUM.

DOBERMANN DOGS – JUDGE MRS GLORIA PASCOE.

This was a really nice new venue and I enjoyed my day immensely.  Grateful thanks to my two efficient stewards who worked tirelessly and to the hard working committee who made the show run smoothly and made it all so enjoyable for everyone..

The most common faults which I came across were lack of length of foreleg, something that Di Patience said way back in 1991  broad skulls, short , lippy  weak muzzles which detract from the true wedge head, and  overdone forechests .  Movement was poor, but I always find that largish dogs moved indoors nearly always have a problem getting into their stride.  On the credit side, bites bar one or two were excellent as were general dispositions.  Toplines/underlines were generally good as were feet and depth of brisket.

Minor Puppy Dog: 5 (1)

1. Evans and Byrne: Amazon Coldplay . BP In Show  Well boned  Bl/rust 7 months youngster, mature for age. Head still to develop, crested neck which flowed into  correctly angulated shoulders, immaculate topline and good set on of tail.  Hind angulation in balance with fore, moved reasonably for a puppy.  Shall watch his career with interest.

2. Cox and Chambers: Amazon Cruise Control for Martonburg. Bl/rust  Litter brother to above and so similar in many respects, just preferred the angulation of Coldplay.

3. McIlroys: Krieger Judge and Jury
