Darcy 6 year old Brown and Tan spayed bitch with docked tail. She is lively and very strong but obedient. Darcy will walk with other dogs but will not share anything with them. She will chase anything that moves including cats, birds, squirrels and even joggers. She needs a home where she will be the only dog. Jake 11 year old Blue castrated male with docked tail, who needs an experienced understanding and loving home with no children. He can be quite dominant, naughty and wilful if allowed to have his own way. Jake was treated very roughly in his former life and requires a sympathetic owner who would be firm but fair. He will chew things if left alone. He is good with other dogs, pretends to be brave but always backs down when challenged. Jake is very affectionate and loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. We are looking for a permanent or foster home for him. Fenton 12 year old Black and Tan castrated male with docked tail. He came to Dobermann Welfare from an elderly lady whose husband had died and she was no longer able to look after Fenton. Sadly, after her husband died Fenton was locked in a shed for a year and only let out to be fed. Despite this he has a nice nature but does not like other dogs either male or female. We are looking for sponsorship for Fenton as he is getting on in years and would not be able to cope with another change. Tara 9 year old Black and Tan spayed bitch with docked tail. Tara only has partial vision in one eye due to a detached retina caused by a blow to the head. She also has the early signs of ‘Wobblers’. She loves people and is good with other dogs at the kennels; however we feel she would be better as an only dog. Tara will bark if left alone due the environment that she was kept in and therefore needs a home with somebody who is at home most of the time.
