Welsh Dobermann Club 3rd Oct 2010

On Sunday 3rd October I judged at the Welsh Dobermann Club at the Cmwbran Stadium.  After a warm welcome by the committee, it was time for my judging to start at 10-15am after a short delay for the weather. I would like to thank the committee for asking me to judge their show and all the exhibitors who came and gave me the chance to go over their dogs it is always an honour to be in this position.  I will say that all dogs presented to me were in Good condition and temperaments were first class.  All bites were correct.  Exhibitor all showed great sportsmanship. 
Also deserving a mention my good friend Alison Neal (Tolkien Dalmatians)  my stewarded who did a great job keeping everyone happy. The Committee presented me with a wonderful plate commemorating their Ruby Show this I will treasure.

1st Jones Amazon Russian Ice a super 17mth black and Rust dog loved him one to watch for the future everything to like about him. Good head dark eye, nice arched neck flowing into
Good shoulder and correct topline. Angulations correct front and rear moved well and handled to perfection.
2nd James & Goscomb Jaegerson Man in The Mirror 14mth youngster black and rust with good head dark eye, strong neck and topline nice angulation.
3rd Futters Dark Soul

Yearling Dog (2)
1st Wilkinsons Newford Cranberry Fizz 17mths Standard black & rust dog lovely shape. Head ok correct dark eye and ear carriage, strong neck good topline, good front and angulation well muscled moved ok.
2nd Futters Dark Soul Well grown black and rust dog head ok good expression nice front topline and tailset ok good hard condition movement was unsettled due to excitement.

Novice   (1)
1st Futters Dark Soul as yearling except movement beginning to settle.

Grad Dog (1)
1st Stewarts Swnydwr Reggie Perrin well grown brown and rust dog has a good head with nice expression correct eye and good ear set, strong neck and topline good front and rear angulation with excellent muscle tone and correct course coat. Moved well.

1st Quigley,Day & Pipers Swnydwr Whistle Blower litter brother to grad winner, tightest of feet, similar comments as above, top condition handled well.   

Limit Dog(2)
1st Pollards Amazon Eldorado at Whizzbean JW,Sh CM black and rust dog in super condition
Standard size square dog with a nice head and dark eye, good expression.  Good forechest, has a arched neck correct topline and tail set. Has correct angulations front and rear, moves with drive works well with handler.  Best dog and RBIS.  Well done.
2nd Evans Ebrill Brownie points another nice standard dog brown and Rust with a good head, topline and tail set correct, nice angulations handled and moved well.

1st Thornes Ch Sibovelds Sauran at Rocksands almost 7yrs old black & rust in top condition, super head dark eye friendly expression.  Good strong neck and topline. Correct angulation front & rear movement fluid around the ring handled well.
2nd Griffiths Lux Ch. Amious Ruff Diamond nice dog larger than my winner a happy dog full of exuberance with good head, correct eye, good topline and tail set nice front. Correct angulation moved ok. Could change places another day.

1st Clanathia Limited Edition Black & rust raw 1yr on the day, showed for the first time handler did well. Rangy puppy that needs to mature.  Head ok, topline and tail set ok movement ok. BPIS

Junior Bitch
1st Quigley Day and Pipers |Swnydwr Done and Dusted 17mth black and rust girl, maturing well, into lovely standard bitch, good head neck and topline nice deep chest good angulation front and rear moved and handled well. Very close call to my Res Best Bitch just preferred her elegance.
2nd Smith Stewart & Bonceys Ourouse Hanky Panky another good bitch with similar attributes to my class winner moved and handled well.
3 rd Merediths Supetas Greta Garbo


Yearling Bitch
1st Wilkinsons Newford Valencia 17mth black & rust bitch stood alone nice expression darkest of eye correct ear set. Good topline and tail set.  Well muscled nice hard condition moved steadily around the ring handled well.

Novice Bitch
1st Merediths Supetas Greta Garbo 3rd in junior as she was fidgety.  Head ok good topline and tail set, good angulation nice overall picture standing, moved ok in this class as she was more settled.
2nd Clanathia Limited Edition as puppy

Graduate bitch
1st Wilkinsons Emrichme Belgium of Newford standard black & rust bitch standard size, head ok, nice eye small correct ear carriage. Good topline and tail set. Good angulation movement was straight and true with drive, handled well.
2nd Pittendrigh’s Amazon Ice Cold in Alice for Tomar Black & rust bitch taller than 1st
With nice head and expression, good front and strong pasterns’ topline ok, nice forechest, angulation ok good markings. Movement need more drive. Handled well.

Post Grad Bitch
This was a super class liked all 3 bitches for different reasons.
1st Quigleys, Day & Pipers Swnydwr Supa Trooper black & rust standard bitch nice and square presenting a lovely picture well defined rust markings head ok, dark eye with good expression. Everything to like about her, shown in good condition. Handled well. Reserve Best Bitch.
2nd Wedgebury’s Demorgothical Allure another lovely standard bitch with good head, dark eye correct topline and tail set, nicely angulated, handled well shame to meet my class winner could change places another day.
3rd Pollards Othertons Maybe Hot at Whizzbean

Limit Bitch
1st  Greens Razuna Simply Dark Secret (Re-imp) 4 yr old out enjoying  her day, good head dark eye topline ok movement a bit erratic.

Open Bitch (4)
1st BOB & BIS Williams Ch Livikee Moulin Rouge brown & rust standard bitch, good head nice expression, strong arch neck into good topline and tail set. Good angulation front and rear, moved well. Shown in good hard condition.  This bitch shows herself handled to perfection.
2nd Francis Supetas Taylor Maid was hard decision between 1st & 2nd lovely bitch just preffered head on my winner otherwise similar attributes for her handled well.
3rd Greens Damoci Burmecia at Razuna (Re-imp)

Veteran Dog or Bitch
1st Greens Ch, Lux Vet Viemar let Me Entertain You  10 year old exuberant dog Black & rust who thoroughly enjoyed his outing, thought himself a puppy again. I couldn’t access his movement as he joyously leapt around the ring.
